The transition from the graffiti on the street to the canvas in the studio was spontaneous for the artist, who survived an emotional shock.
“My friend has presented me seven canvases. They were on the shelf for a long time. On the day when there were terrorist attacks in Moscow, I did not go to my work. Massive Attack played and I saw these canvases, took the paint and put that paint like I never did before. It was the stuff from the point of view of the canons of graffiti. But personally I like it very much. A very deep sense of satisfaction came to me. I got the feeling from only a few works in my life before. I made these seven canvases and since this all started”.

This is a manifestation of self, self-realization by means of color and paint. This is what I do best for himself and what I really want to do. I want to experiment, to see, to feel the paint. If you’re trying to draw, paint, you throw the brush and try to draw hands. You feel the hands of surface and feel how it falls. You feel your fingers, shape and color as the trace will see it all. What music do you perform?
I had an affair with Massive Attack. As a rule it is the music that does not interfere with the rhythm, it introduces into a state of flow when you are moving away from the outside world. I always listen to mixes SLOWDANCE. Especially dub-techno.
Tell us about your studio in Moscow. Who was your source of information for this? That it gives you now?
The workshop was on my Lyalin lane, and then she was on the Elektrozavod. Then I made the image with the desire of what I want the perfect workshop. And it happened so. White workshop with white flooring, walls on Badaev brewery factory there. I live here. I live in my creative process. I fall asleep and I wake up with canvases. It unites us. Tell us about your overseas exhibitions.
How did you manage to set up a dialogue with western curators? Who’s who found and how the interaction takes place? Are there any peculiarities in comparison with the domestic art of the situation?
Exactly a year ago with the help of the friends I have made its range of works for the exhibition in Barcelona. I didn’t understand how much are my works. Employee of gallery came and said, “Put as much as you see fit.” Then I read the book, made a presentation and sent it in 480 galleries. As a result, three galleries responded and I started working with one of them. One of them is a Professional Travel gallery in Geneva. Communicating with the gallery I understand how it all works. He explained that the conjuncture is on the market and he explained that I am an ascending artist. Therefore prices are not the cheapest. Half of the exhibition was sold in Geneva One left in the family Foundation, the others were gone home. I work with MSK EASTSIDE GALLERY in Moscow. My plan is to cooperate with galleries in New York and London now. At first it always samples with different galleries. Then you come to a gallery that works with you around the world.
